PS3 Strange Sounds.

Hi. I just bought PS3. When I turn it on it starts to give out crack like sounds for the first 5 mins. It's the same after turning it off.

I think that this is because the metal parts in the console enlarge because of the heating. Are you guys experience the same thing?

mys worse, when i first got my ps3 out of the box my have scraches on the vents and one by the usb and a big one by the ps3 logo

My PS3 has never made any sounds like that. It's the quietest machine I have in my house. I would call Sony about that.

So is this normal or I'll have to return the PS3 to the shop? Please tell me it's normal... :|

Mine is silent at all times one of its greatest features, I would return yours it's not normal.

not return the console to the store call this number (800) 345-7669. to Sony ....them tell you what to do....
