Hey i was wondering what you guys or girls here on gamespot thought about PS3? and if you like it or not and for what reason.? I am getting a PS3 for graduation and was wondering how good are the games on the system, and how good are the graphics? Also can you listen to music while playing your games?

U can listen 2 music in some games like Burnout Paradise, Killzone 2, and Motorstorm: Pacific RIft. Ya i love my PS3, its got a TON of FANTASTIC exclusives. and Blu-ray player is nice to hav. Online is free and fun.

i think the ps3 is a great system with good potential still and have still delivered. the start of it was sub-par in my opinion but now its my fave system.
Sony has made the custom ingame music "per game" so it's left up to the devs.
Everything else, I would advise watching some videos. Read the specs and so on. Goto a Gamestop, EB or Walmart and try out one of those displayed PS3s. They're usually hooked up to HDTVs.

Like in any console the graphics are different from game to game, If you want impressive graphics the you need to get a game that have impressive graphics.

In all seriousness, which I lack :P, I would do your research on games before you snatch up the first one you see. Look at the available games the PS3/PSN Store has to offer you in terms of gameplay, longevity, value for money etc. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Plus with the features the PS3 has you'll be pressed to find anything else to do after graduation (although I'd suggest a few things but I'm tired of getting modded for speaking my mind :P)
by far my favorite system. everybody else has already mentioned everything. but u r on a ps3 board, so if u want other opinions, go to some other boards and try it. but yeah, best system by far.
