PS3 to private chat or not to chat???

Does anyone know of or does anyone agree PS3 needs a private in game or out of game chat system? Having had xbox 360 (before the dreaded red ring of death claimed 2 of them) I know that this is a pretty important feature that a rival company should not be without. PS3 seems to be making progress with its in game text system in a recent update but while playing a game such as killzone 2 online, in game texting doesent even come close to cutting it. Ive read a few things seeming that this is something possible for the PS3's future. I think sony would be foolish not to look into it and I believe it would bring alot more people to the PS3 from either 360 or Wii or just people looking for that better system

Uh? There is a private chat system out of game(for voice chat), and in-game one (only text)....But I agree a Voice private in-game would be very good
