PS3 wont read discs!!

So i was just playing COD4 about 4 hours ago and i got home not too long ago and i wanted to play but my ps3 wont read the disc. It has the little bubble in the corner but it reads nothing. Is there anything i can do to fix it or do i have to send it back to sony?boratinator990

It happened to my brother... I went to visit him (in Brazil) brought the COD4 with me, installed showed to a couple of friends (my brother was at work), he got back from work, we sit down and his PS3 was not able to read any discs (No CD, CDR, DVD, DVD-R, BD) dead. I brought it back to the US called Sony and they replaced it.

You call them, they read you a bunch of BS, they send you an email with a lot of information, then they send you an empty UPS box, you put your PS3 with controller and all the cables it came with. you send it to Sony, they receive it and they send you another one. (Same model you send, I sent them a 60GB they sent me back a 60GB).

The short way...try a DVD lens cleaner. The phillips brand works great. @walmart for $12.
