ps3 wont start back up

when I was playing dragon age my 60gb ps3 shut down on its own and wont start back up.

It wouldn't read when i clicked the button on the controller so i used the heat sensitive button on the ps3 and it went to start up but then it beeped three times and the light on the right started flashing red and wouldn't stop so i touched the heat sensitive button again and the light went solid red like it was on standby i had only been playing for about two hours today so i don't think its over heating (on my days off i often play 10-14 hours if i'm not busy).

i thought I would check here before i called sony.

never mind someone else started a thread with the same problem (i shouldn't have gone to eat half way through making this topis)
