i have a like 2004 HP laptop.  wondering if i can get like 730p on it.   i have a SDTV and wonderin if i can get hd on my laptop, to see how hd is,( never seen hd before)   so yeah, my laptop is a 15'' screen, but im gonan be about 1' away

depends on your input , unless you have HDMI or DVI input but i don't think you will reach 720+

I was under the impression that laptops had outputs not inputs... Is it some kind of card that is auxiliary? I used to connect my laptop to my TV via an S-Video cable sometimes when I want to watch videos on my TV, before I got my PS3 that is. I knew of a WinTV back in the day, something for desktops but I didn't know laptops could do it as well.

well, my laptop says    15.4    Hi-Def Widescreen, and i wanted to see y people were going crazy over the 720 hd
