i still dont know if u should try and get a ps3 now or wait for slim
not sure if slim uses cheaper parts or if it uses better parts besides the smaller chip

Both are the same, there are no difference besides the size of the system and the amount of space on the hard drive.[QUOTE="fedor19820"]Both are the same, there are no difference besides the size of the system and the amount of space on the hard drive.cool

i know this may sound weird but i already own a bc 60gb ps3 and i want another so can have one in the living room lol
Very interesting. I knew that with the announcment of the PS3 Slim and the Price drop, this would greatly impact Sony's sales. They did it at a great time, before anyone would expect anything, because I didn't lol. Sony should be in for a very good holiday season.
Lots of good games coming out soon too, so that will help. With uncharted 2 being exclusive and all.
Actually there are differences, the cell processor is much smaller, the slim is more energy efficient. And it will stay cooler longer than the previous fat ps3's.

that's not weird. that's what did. i have a PS3 in my gaming room, and a second PS3 in the family room. the family room PS3 is primarily my wifes, but we both watch movies and play games on it. my PS3 is the 60 gig model and it gets a lot more use than my wifes 80 gig...but that is irrelevant. if you want two PS3's then just do it;)[QUOTE="fedor19820"]

go with the slim smaller bigger hhd same priceFor those curious, Sony has purposefully limited stock like crazy that is why it seems like they are selling out. It's creating false demand. We'll know from NPD sales figures for sure what's going on. I will say a $299 price puts Sony back in the game...but it's gonna take more than that to get the ball rollin.link

Both are the same, there are no difference besides the size of the system and the amount of space on the hard drive. Wrong, the PS3 slim uses a 45nm Cell as opposed to the 65nm in the older models. It generates less heat and is more energy efficient. On topic, sweet.[QUOTE="zmbi_gmr"][QUOTE="fedor19820"] that's not weird. that's what did. i have a PS3 in my gaming room, and a second PS3 in the family room. the family room PS3 is primarily my wifes, but we both watch movies and play games on it. my PS3 is the 60 gig model and it gets a lot more use than my wifes 80 gig...but that is irrelevant. if you want two PS3's then just do it;)

And i think u r wrong the ps3 slim is faster and queiter compared to the phat man i hope they release faceplates or a whole body makeover since it looks like it could be taken apart easily and they would make more money fo sho,

Both are the same, there are no difference besides the size of the system and the amount of space on the hard drive. Is obvious that they may be using cheaper parts. I'm not to sure that by changing the processor to 45Nm and the power supply from one that uses 280v to one that require 250v will make the system a lot more cheaper.[QUOTE="fedor19820"]

Sorry but people are impress because it uses a third of the power a older model required but Sony are comparing it to the lunch 60GB that uses 380v, the current original model uses 280v so changing to the current model that require 250v will not make a lot of difference in noise. And it is not faster is the same but with a cheaper manufacture and lower price.cool
