Damn I just got on the forums this morning and all I see is questions asking about the next console. We are just about at the end of the 2nd year of the PS3. Be patient people.
well its not that hard to see that i meant dont start talking about the ps4.... i persontally dont want to talk about a ps4 when the ps3 is not even close to be tapped out, i strongly suggest u stop strongly suggesting me to read things

Well i think it may be also a bunch of bored kids that never were at first anyways. The played red vs blue 5 years ago, and thought they were.
Now they found out gaming was different. Their PO at their red death. They want something new. And they think they will be able to buy anything around the corner. But nothing is around the corner.
Truth is they haven't bought. "or cant afford," or wont buy, anything since their rod or bore. And thus wont even latter. If no PS3 now, nothing latter. So thus they wont be gaming. Although they think they will 7 or 8 years from now.
i sense critism from this topic about "ps3" and impression of failure for sony / microsoft . unless they find a magical code update that will make all recent games run at 50-60 fps , or a revolutionary way of controlling/viewing games that is much more different than now ,i will agree with him...
current generation is an awfull agle at videogaming and i hardly find games entertaining or cutting edge...

The ps2 had 10 years to live, and now the ps3 will have 10 or more years to live. ps4 will not be out for a looooonng time! PS3 is improving big time and alot of great games are coming too. you will see a new xbox way before a new playstation. PS3 has alot of power, it will last alot longer than any other console.
10 Year cycle does not mean it will be 10 years before the PS4 is out. The PS2 is also on a 10 year cycle and games are made for it to this day. So with this in mind, the PS4 can be out in the next 4 to 5 years. That will put it's life at about 6 years. Development for the PS3 will continue while the PS4 is released.
As far as what the PS4 should have. Don't know. Allot of new tech from here to there. One smart thing to do is not change the programing of the system. Now that developers are understanding how to do this well. Don't change it. Just give it more power, resources and additions, but keep the coding unchanged as much as possible.
Eliminate the learning curve every cycle and we will have a winner.

When Sony says the console has 8 years left, they dont mean theyre not going to release a new console. Thats just lifespan of the PS3. The PS4 will be out around 2011.
