PS4 What To Expect

The Playstation 4 will be Sony's last Videogame console to use optical disc technology. It will possibally use a Double/Triple layer Blu-ray Disc Will be that last Console to have Backwards Compatiblities with Playstation 1,Playstation 2, and Playstation 3. Just for the early production models. Sony will have the usual SD card slots/Memory Stick Micro/Flash Cards slots. A3 Terabyte HDDmodel and an 8 TeraByte HDD Model.

Sony Will have the Usual "Core" and Premium/Pro launch models. Which will cost a lot. Sony will Give us warning this time beforeDeleting features. BuyPlaystation 4 Now if you want the extras because once they are gone. They are gone for good.

Sony will give us a great Playstation 4 console. However not for at least 3 years before it is even hinted at, or Start production on a Prototype PS4.

2013 earliest is when the PS4 patents and images start appearing on the internet. Sony is going to take its time in creating the Playstation 4.

I expect it will be awesome. But not coming anytime soon.

I remember hearing that the PS3 was going to use "Cell" technology back in 2002! So you might hear PS4 related things sooner than you think.

I expect we wont be seeing it for a looooooooooooooooooooong time.

What I want:

* Consistent and smooth framerates for all games

* No game is required to be installed, but you're allowed to install every single one of them if you want

* The ability to install Linux

* Overkill amount of system memory

* Overpowered GPU

* Very fast multicore processor

* At least have some basic form of upgradability. Even past systems have had this (memory packs, etc.). At least give the system some room to grow.

but while its not... the ps4 is going to be the ultimate gaming machine and will have gaming goggles!! so where you look the camera looks!!

Better hardware(PS4 games need to make Crysis look like a PSP game), a stronger online infrastructure, strong launch lineup, DualShock 4(don't change the controller design. It's perfect as is), and a higher resolution.

Really? Framerates not a problem? Take a good look at the majority of games and say that.

I hope there isnt one for a looooong time. I mean anything you could ever add to a new playstation is unecessary, other than better graphics of course. But even at that graphics are perfect now imo, good enough to where my eyes dont kill me :P

never had a problem with games laging so bad that it was a problem

and if games were to be DL only, id be pissed. like Metal Gear Solid... 50 gigs, and ps4 is gonna be awesome so games will be bigger then 50 gigs

- faster graphics chip
- a lot more system and video memory (all games: 1080p, 60fps, 3d)
- backwards compatiblity with PS3 games. Developing for PS3 and PS4 will be the same. VERY IMPORTANT

- Just more services
- More connectivity with other Sony products

PS4 graphics needs to look like real life, so then the politics will come hardcore after video gaming....and they shall point to the PS4 and say "see, look, they are really killing people now" and thats when i shall look at my PLAYSTATION 4 and smile :), the darksiiide...muwhahahahaha

I don't think it will use any discs at all, games will just be streamed over the net.

Graphically I expect there will be increased resolution and the possible introduction of 3D.

^ streaming over the net won't be valid worldwide for 10-20 years i think, theres still too many people with little/no internet and that would be a major loss for sony. definitely better graphics and hopefully shorter dev cycles (don't ask why, the shorter dev cycles are obviously a fantasy and nothing more)

and does anyone think that the next gen they should make the xbox and ps3 at least a little more different?? like how the PS1 and the N64 were defferent??

cuz right now the only really big difference is that the PS3 has Blu Ray and a cell core, so the exclusive look better and run better... but there is tons of multi plats, hardly any game were made for the PS1 and the N64... it should go back to that way!!

I think the PS4 will be more focused on 3D games.But hopefully not the PS4
is released now .I just bought the PS3 launch would be fair and not

I expect the PS4 to have nearly life-like graphics, etc.

At the moment there is far stretching advancements that can be updated onto the ps3 so the ps4 will have to have something that the ps3 just cant cope with.
