I don't have any problems downloading, unless it's Thursday and every other PS3 owner is downloading also. So either something is wrong with your PS3, or it IS your connection.

The thing is, it IS your connection, everything downloads fast and nice with me and no disconnects. Step your internet game up.

Yes, it IS your connection. Just like the other person said. Back at my college dorm we could get a free 2mg/s download speed, and i went download crazy. I could literally download files of about 1 gig or more in a matter of about 15 minutes. However, back here at home with sloo....www... dsl it takes forever (compared to college) to download stuff. Idk whats up with your wii and mac....maybe youre just getting on the PSN at all the wrong times, when everyone else is on and its too loaded.
maybe you shouldnt blame the psn, i think the problem is your connection, maybe the router if you are using one, or if you have a wireless connection, that can be too the problem.
There are some settings on your ps3 you should probably look at, there are some good information here and if you google it. I have no problems personally. When I do have problems, I reset my router and they're all fixed.

dude, yeah it have a lot of issues, IS FREE FOR GOD SAKE, but NOW and since i bought my ps3, the only issues i had are because of my router or because i didnt setup correctly my connection. and it isnt fanboysm, we are telling the true, just one person out of ten or more is experiencing problems with the psn while the for the others work perfect, so look at the facts ok

It sounds like you may have problems with your internet connection mate...check the ethernet wire maybe mice pulled something out...
350 MB in one hour is great. I mean you get to a p2p program like utorrent or limewire and your DL speed will go to 150KB/s if you are lucky. We all know it takes like 5 hours hours to DL 750MB. So why are you complaining?
PSN is fine. Your connection is crap probably....I mean I can DL 2GBS in about 1 hour or less and when I get disconnected it's because my router is acting stupid.
Its not the fastest service, but there is no issues with downtime or reliability. Average speed for me is about 200-400kbps download, when an item isnt new, then it slows a bit due to massive amounts of downloads.
If my connection would be any faster it would need an additional nuclear power plant, no it is not my connection my mac and wii gob up gigabytes up without any problems whatsoever, PSN network dropouts are completely random it just dies, no matter the time of the day, what I am doing, or what I am not doing.
PSN is AWESOME, when I'm at my relatives in Iceland I still get a 1mb/s download speed from my US account and absolutely 0 lag and I never get DC'd, check your connection...
Open up some ports on your router, or put into a dmz. It used to give me problems updateing but then i mess with my router settings and now it's fast. Other then the update problem i HAD, it has worked flawlessly for me since i went online back in begining of last year.

I've had this problem now and then with my PS3 as well. I've port forwarded like a madman, used a wired connection, etc. Still no dice, and yet my 360 downloads at lightspeed. go figure.
