PSN now up. But password reset website is down. How is this any different?

What is Sony up to? I lost the password reset email which Sony sent a long time ago, so naturally i used the 'forgot password' feature. The website is under maintenance. So it is no different from PSN being down for me. The password change email is only valid for 24 hours, so i have to rince and repeat the process later.

Yeah, I don't see people chomping at the bit to increase the chance that their info is stolen.

A lot of people waited after hearing the password system was cracked, the topic creator is just one of them.
