PSN Reality check!

And why does it seem like the europe, usa, and japan psn's are competing for demos instead of being the same company.

You trying to make yourself feel better by saying "You got something" is your own fault. Just be satisfied with what sony IS giving us. All some of your bring the the threads are whinning and meaningless complaints. You guys set yourself up for defeat when you hype yourself up for hot updates. We're still in the crawling phase of the ps3 and you guys are expecting it to run marathons. Let it live, let it breathe.

Ok people lets try to keep a cool head. Things started off calm and intelligent now it seems to be getting a little heated and im not speaking about the person im quoting^^^^

Now on to the person im quoting. The part in your post i have highlighted is a total contradiction. You tell me saying that is my own fault but then you say the same thing in a different way, wow! I do not believe im wrong for expecting more from the psn. You guys keep saying why compare live to psn when live has 3years or what ever on the psn. FOR THE LAST TIME, i am not doing that. Live six months after the 360 was released was better than the psn now as far as demos and content that they offer for free. The only thing you have to pay for is multiplayer which is a knock on the other system, i agree. Being free is no excuse for lack of demos for there own sponsored games at least!

I must thank you for helping me seperate my fellow fanboys from the smart posters. As for my 3 cents,

I can feel both sides of the argument and since I've been waiting for something sweet from Sony for about 9 months and rathered saddened that I'm getting the feeling that Sony just isn't caring too much.

Heavenly Sword. That was the only MUST BUY demo we've received so far and it's depressing.

don't compare xbox live to psn. You actually have to pay for xbox live so it will obviously be far better. So no it's free you shouldn't be complaining. If you want a demo for every game out get the 360 and pay $50 it's that simple.Snake_915

You have to pay only if you want to play online. Basically everything else like buying arcade games, demos, etc.- they're all free.

i was talking about full access to the online that each console gives you if u want the full (other) online u gotta pay the (pswell) u know what it is.......is free and is giving some nice demo's lol....i mean honestly if u judge a system on that its funny but any way...... you have to look at the whole picture ps3 is working on "home" atm and when its all said and done what is (other) going to have to combat that....the (other) is really popular in the U.S.....and (ps*) seems to not be but you have to give it time ...look how the ps2 turned out....:) ...why do gamer have to fight over systems.......i really dont understand it...

This is not a FIGHT over a system, i like both systems though i prefer the overall i get from the ps3. I just feel that demos are something that shouldnt take to much work from sony to get online. At very least for all there own sony exclusives.

I think it will be awhile for the PSN to get anywhere near the juggernaut Xbox Live status. I believe if they do charge for PSN, it would help. Money motivates. But since its free, the PSN can do whatever it wants, as slow as it wants, *sigh*. Just wait.

Other then playable demo's, what does xbl have over psn...??? I have both and for the present moment, that's the only thing that it has over psn....and we all know that the movies and additional software are in the works...psn is still growing and that's a fact.

Finally someone that feels the same as me, i have been really dissappointed with the lack of content, especially game demos on the PSN. Like u i bought the ps3 and only the ps3. Sony doesn't need any more time, it needs toprovide good solid content to the people that have invested in them.

I don't care for demos. As long as it is free online play, I can care less about a damn 10 minute demo. If you payed $600 just to play demos, I think you should really re-think how to manage your finances.

Btw, trees doesn't grow in 1 day. It takes time and stop acting like an impatient 9 yr old.

Whether or not it's free Sony has to compete with what the other system offers. However, getting all worked up every week about what demos you're going to get seems kinda pathetic, no offense. Anyways, the demos are coming, it seems there have been quite a few recently(Darkness, Graw2, HS, Dirt, Football, Folklore) but people are still always complaining. There are now 25 demos out (US store, i agree the stores should be mostly the same) so someone buying the system now will have a lot to download if he wants to.

Wait for a month after Home's come out and if it still isn't up to your standards than I think your complaints will be heard. For now it's still too early.
