I don't really know what to think. A couple of weeks ago, Anon said they stopped the attacks because it was affecting PSN users negatively. It wouldn't make sense for them to go back on their word, but you can't really trust these people.

I dont trust them anything they say. A secret attack would be worse than announced one. Plus attacking online sites and services is pretty much everything they can do right?

I bet it was them and they just wanted tit o look like Sony's screw up. They already know how much most of us hate them and want to avoid the negative attention, but they just couldn't resist kicking Sony's legs out from underneath them.... all speculation, of course.

The thing is their attack would have worked only if they had alot of people on board to carry it out otherwise Sony would just have to filter the traffic and that would be that. If it's all under the table they wouldn't have enough people to carry it out. The other thing is Anon is not exactly great at keeping secrets there's always someone in the group ready to spill the beans and we likely would have heard something by now.

Hope Johny Dork and the rest of his minions like striped sunlight, they could be seeing it for a long time if they keep this up. Sony is a Japanese company, they have ways of....dealing....with troublemakers. Rather.....permanent ways. One min they are hacking PSN and the next its "WOAH! Where did my freedom go, I know I left here somewhere...."

No a euro blog for Sony said this is being caused by a third party. They didn't say who but it's pretty obvious. I hope they find these guys and lock them up now.

Sony dropping the ball again? When was the last time this happened, exactly? I don't believe Anon is asking for CC info, either, but you can't accurately determine the motives of an unorganized, faceless group of thousands. Half of Anon could say they don't want to mess with the PSN and the consumers while the other half couldn't give a damn and go on attacking it. I'm not saying that's what's happening. I'm just saying no one could really know.
Man, talk about bad timing. I just bought Portal 2 and haven't had a chance to play it, also, my wife just went out of town for a few days so I was looking forward to spending some quality time online...:|
