PSP 4000? Will It Happen?

Hey Everyone.

A friend told me that sony are gonna make psp 4000. Is that true? and does anyone have information about it like price & specifications

Looks likely since the person who revealed the info on the PS3 slim has not said to expect it out (it will be an upgrade to the 3000 with UMD).

Totally unnecessary with the PSPGo coming out and the PSP3000 seemingly up to date. But what do I know, I'm not a multinational corporation.

I hope there is actually some significant improvements in the 4000.

Wouldn't the PSPGo be considered the 4000? Anyway, all Sony wants to do for new psps is make em thin, so next thing you know its going to be paper thin.. with the exact same features as the past versions... -_-

Hmm, I'd rather they focused their efforts on more games for the PSP, or development of the PSP2. A single console really doesn't need 5 different iterations...

psp 4000 will come out 3 years from now and will have the same graphics as the ps3

My brother also told me they announced it. What's the point of that? They should just discontinue all the old ones, and only make the PSP Go now.

There has been no rumor or buzz to this effect; unless your friend is an exceptionally well-placed source, he's likely talking out of his hinder parts.xaos

The source he got it from was the guy who found out about the ps3 slim so there may be a chance for psp 4000

man i sure hope not. I love the PSP and all, but i'm seriously sick of all the new iterations of the same product. I mean seriously, how many new features can you add to one product? i don't even use half of the ones on mine (like skype and the internet radio thing or even the web browser)

I can say this with confidence that the 4000 will have a built in battery like the GO for the same reasons why as well: To put an end to hackers so that they won't be able to use the pandora's battery trick
