If you ask this type of question on PSP forum, you're going to get a biased response. Do your own research by looking around on the web. It's not that hard. Compare the iphone/ipod touch apps and games/movies and stuff to what the Go will have to offer.
My 2 cents: If you want a good gaming hendheld, get a PSP 3000, not the Go. If you want an excellent multimedia handheld, get the ipod.
Truly, get the PSP 3000, its better than the PSP go as on the 3000, we can download as well as play UMD games. The go also has a smaller screen than the 3000. The only advantage is bluetooth. The Go has bluetooth, the 3000 does not.If you ask this type of question on PSP forum, you're going to get a biased response. Do your own research by looking around on the web. It's not that hard. Well im not to familiar with the IPods . I do how ever own a psp go. I do want to say something that has me completely baffeled. I bout a psp go used in new condition with 4 games already on it. Now here I am months later and when I try and play a game on my psp go it says " This content cannot be accessed on your account.". I am really ticked about this. I had 4 games I barely got to play. Final fantasy, star was, GTA, and Dragon ball z. This is a freakin joke. Can someone please Explain to me what is going on? Sony has been on my you know what list for a long time and its stunts like this that is the reason I wont buy sony products new. I think this is beyond stupid. How can sony be aloud to dissable a full working game on my psp and get away with it. No these were not demos with time limits. Says so in the information. I can't even express how mad I am. I just get sick of getting the short end of the stick. I work hard for my money and big companys like this think they can just take what they want when they want. LONG STORY SHORT be catious if buying a psp go. I feel like I just got ROBBED of about $100 in games. Someone anyone with advise please help me.kpInI
The reason those games do not work is because they were not bought with your account. Those games have a license file and it is tied to the original owners account, you would need his account details to play them. Basically you can only play games that you bought on your account.
psp go, because ipod doesnt have as good games as psp
and you have the abilitiy to get more memory unlike ipod
just geta cheap phone and use the psp go as a secondary phone
i use my 3000 as a phone alot

This is coming from someone that just made the decision to buy a psp. (it's paid for, but I have to wait for the BBbundle to ship.)
I had the opportunity to buy either a psp or Iphone/touch 2g. I went with the Apple product. I figured it would be a better workout companion, would have the better music interface, and comparable games. A few months later I decided it is just too large for a portable music player. The interface is great, but the size and weight make it awkward for workout routines. I initially thought the games were pretty good. The Hot Shots golf knockoff is pretty good and only $2 now. Which is what made it appealing in the first place--cheap games. Since then, however, apple has upgraded the hardware, and the newer games don't run quite as nice as on the 3G/s models. So it's rather frustrating, and it's bound to happen again and again and again. Plus the games just feel like afterthoughts, imo. I still play peggle, but that's about it.
I have both and each has a strength. They both have fun games and a music/video player. But PSP is better for gaming, it has far better controls and a lot more hardcore games. The iTouch is better for managing and playing music and videos, plus some of the apps you can get are cool, but the touch screen limits gaming controls and games are not very in depth. It has some fun games, but PSP has better. It depends on the buyers wants and needs. Or like me, buy both. :)
ok i have owned both but i own a psp 2002, anyhow i sold my ipod touch because all i did was play music and browse the internet, i found it to be a waste of money, if you are just going to play music and browse the net, ipod is the best option, if you are after playing decent games go for the psp. the games on the ipod aren't that entertaining. it all depends on what you will be using it for, both are good for browsing the net but the ipod wins slightly, music: ipod, games: psp, utilities: ipod. What should I get?

The answer to the query really depends on how you're going to use the device. If it's a pure gaming machine and you plan to sit and play fo r a long time then a PSP will probably server you better as the games are more detailed. The iPod has a variety of games but most are casual or designed for a short plays. On the flipside iPod games cost a couple of bucks each so you could probably get 15-20 iPod games for every one PSP game you buy
Personally I play my iPhone a bunch more than my PSP. Aside from Final Fantasy Games, God of War and a couple of others the PSP just doesn't have great titles IMO. My iPhone is smaller, is an awesome music media unit, and much better for quick games on the go (if I want to sit down and play a game for more than 20 minutes I use a console). That's me though, you choose one based on what you want it for.
Oh, and for all those saying that the iPhone has no real games, take a look at Chaos Rings. This is a decent RPG made by Square-Enix and comparable to other handheld console games. Developers are starting to develop more complex and detailed games for the iPhone...it'll never bea gaming console with it's current limitations but Chaos Rings sure proves what the unit is capable of doing!
