I would go with a psp 3000. Get one of the entertainment packs like Gran Turismo or AC:Bloodlines. Other great games are Resistance: Retribution, Chinatown Wars, and LittleBigPlanet.

I'd say go for the slim. It plays UMDs and downloadable games, so your have some options there.

I love the Go's design more than the slim design personally (get your hands on both, if you can), but since you listed games that currently aren't on PSN as of now, I'm going to have to recommend a 3000.

I prefer Slim... There is this game I came across on the News that won't be available in Downloadable format though a rare case but you are losing UMD function.

Slim all the way, the psp go sucks, you must buy games from ps store even if you already own them in UMD disc.

Get the PSP slim model. The PSP go can only play games from the PSN store. I don't really trust the sliding up thingy in the PSP go because it can break sometimes.

well if all you want to do is play the games that have been out for a while and dont care about portability then the 3000 is for you.

I'm definitely a huge fan of the psp slim. I have the psp2000 and i use it daily. all the buttons work great and are in good places. and you can find a huge library of used UMD games online (amazon.com) for really cheap.

*note i dont own a psp go, but i tried one out the other day at bestbuy, hated it. its too small for my hands and some of the buttons are relocated strangely. The volume toggle is on the backside, so you cant adjust volume with your thumb as you can with the standard psp. and the ps button is on the side of the screen.....i found the whole contraption awkward, and i just see the sliding mechanism wearing out, so after a year or so, the thing would be all loose. The only benefit to the psp go is its smaller (a bit too tiny if u ask me ) and the bluetooth might work out well for skype and online multiplayer games. and really thats it.
