I set all the stuff right. I know I did because I looked at the ps3s internet stats. And when I try to scan it always says error the connection to the access point timed out. but when I did the ps3 connection test it has no problem. I even watched a youtube video Im doing everything right but its keep coming up with the error.

802.11b and 802.11g Try switching between these wireless modes. They can be found on your router's homepage (the address varies between all types of routers; usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1) They can usually be found under wireless>channel>SSID.

Remote play, use psp as a flash drive ...and ....that's about it really. You can download everything for PSP on the PS3 and then transfer it to save time (buy a PSP game using the PS3 and then install). Remote play is a really cool feature though. You can play some PS3, PSN games and watch all your downloaded videos that have different formats using the PS3. And the entire PS3 browser can run on the PSP too.

Whenever my psp is too far away from the router, the connection times out during a download. Then I just moved my psp closer to my router and never had any problems since then.
