E3's in a few months, and Sony may announce a new PSP. I really like FPS's and TPS's and my question is: should I get a used PSP 3000 to hold me over 'till a dual-analoge one comes out, or just buy a PSP Go?

I don't think Sony is going to release a new PSP this year. Or even annouce it this year.

Go with the 3000, DON'T GET THE GO, it is not worth it. Unless you like to waste your money.

Again - The Go is a alot smaller and comes with 16 gigs of mem if you buy a 16 GB pro duo stick for the 3000 its almost the same price. Check out what games are available for the Go and if you are fine with them you might get the Go aswell

I also dont think we will see PSP2 anytime soon. Proubably with the next gen of consoles around 2015?

What you are forgetting is that the 3000 can also play UMDs so youreallydon't need 16 gigs for it. But say you wanted 16 gigs anyways, the 3000 + 16 gigs would be about the same price of the GO. So it's even right? WRONG.

The GO is still a rip off from there, as you pay the top price for all games, instead of going and getting a used game, or sales at a store. Not to mention the library on the GO is missing huuge titles like FF7 CC.

So the GO is basically just a hugge rip off.

Dude chill ! I still use my 1004 but that doesnt mean I cant acknowledge the Go's pros in terms of size and weight. If you are so worried about your precious UMDs I believe Logytech are working on a UMD addon for it

The Logitech UMD thing is just a rumor. Logitech as a company is claiming that they are not working on it. I could be wrong but don't determine to buy a PSP Go in hopes that this is real.

It is a proven fact that if people feel that they are being undermined by a purchase they made that they will do anything in their power to justify it. In other words, don't make this poor man/kid/woman make the same mistake you did.

I am very happy with my Go purchase because I kept my old PSP-1000 with all of my UMD games incase I ever feel like touching it again. I love using bluetooth to listen to music at my desk without having a wire to get in the way and get caught on paper that I'm always shuffling around. It's very easily transportable. I could go on with more.

But yes, I do agree it's not for everyone, I actually tell people that they should buy a non-Go PSP because of it's down falls but for people that I know are like me, I will tell them to buy it.

I somewhat doubt that they'll release a new psp soon. They just came out with the go. If they did come out with another one this year then the go would be a waste of time and money... well really it already is but still they shouldn't come out with another psp anytime soon. Then yet they did bring the 3000 out not too far behind the 2000. Stay away from the psp go. Get the 3000, trust me you will be much, much happier with the 3000 then the go. It's better than the go.

You might as well get the current models that are out there. It's going to be a few years before we see a new model, hopefully with a new software format.

I love my GO! Great to hold and play. I have the blue 2000 and black 3000 and only play them for the DJ Max Imports. I will sell the blue 2000 eventually. I love having my games on the flash drive and my M2 sticks. Also great is that the M2 comes with adapters so I can play them on any K series PSP. :)

I know the PSN could be better, but I am very patient when it comes to releases. I always look forward to every Thursday for releases.

This year they'll probably price drop the PSP Go/PSP at E3. I wouldn't worry about or expect a PSP2 announcement until next year.
