Okay so the Wii launched this week and i keep seeing this awesome remoteplay type feature it has. PLaying freaking almost anygame on the little tablet thing looks freaking sweet. Now we all know the Ps3 and Vita can do the exact same thing. prolly not as fluidly but im sure sony can release a FW upgrade or something than can make it completely possible. The question is and im sure its been brought up before, but why isnt sony allowing this awesome feature?

its completely possible since we prolly seen the hacked Vita playing PS3 games Via Remote play. Are they saving this feature for PS4? hmmmmm

It wouldn't work with most PS3 games as the Vita is missing a R2, L2, R3 and L3 button, but the wii u was designed with this feature in mind as its one of the main selling points.

the missing 4 buttons could be mapped to each corner of the back touchscreen technically

the ps3 controllers have touch sensitive control. not sure if any games have it though...i know many games on ps2 that used it tho, like the bouncer and mgs

They are already mapped to the rear touch pad. Most games work with remote play if you hack your PS3 you can do it. Sony just won't allow it which i think is BS because they promised it to us. Check youtube GTA4, Skyrim, Battlefield 3 etc. All on remote play.

this is false advertising : you must be in range of the home console (maybe 5 or 10 meters), if you are in the street, in the bus, the signal will stop ; this is a remote screen but must receive the signal from the home console

it's a gamepad, not a portable console, if you take your Dualshock too far of the screen it won't do anything as it can't receive or transmit anything to the console, same thing with the WiiU controller

Yes, that is correct, the Wii U gamepad's range for remote play is limited but the feature is still cool. If Sony wanted to make the Vita "cooler," and extend it's desirebility they should make this happen. Couch play on the Vita while others in the household watch Netflix or whatever would be great.

a French site did some tests : if there's free space between the WiiU and the controller it perceives the signal up to 25 meters then it begins to slowdown and freeze, if there's a house wall, the signal is interrupted after 15 meters, if a concrete wall, less than 5 meters

what's shocking me is that the ads are really vague on this : someone could believe it's a portable console and when the screen is switched to the controller you can go wherever you like, false advertising I'd say
