okay, i don't have a ps3 but may eventually if my parents let me. the reason i want one is because it has free online with voice chat and everything. i've got a 360 and bought the wireless adapter but then returned it that day because i had no clue what to due, it wanted me to specify a crap load of stuff i had no idea what they were. i've also got a wii and i have online for it, all i had to do to hook up was search for a connection and then type in my security code, that was it. now, for those of you that have a wireless connection and a security code on your internet service thingy, what is it like to connect? do i have to specify a load of crap or what? thanks.

simple and easy to connect for ps3 online. i'm surprised you had trouble with your wireless network adapter for your 360, i installed mine easily.

It's pretty easy, you might have to set your dns & ip address (dns being the routers ip) manually & make sure your Router has WMM enabled. (Mine didn't, pretty stupid since that is for wifi connections lol) Other then that, it detects the routers settings and everything.

There are multiple techniques to get your ip address & router ip. One is, hook it up wired & just look at the network status [in the network connections on the PS3). I would say copy paste, but you need to write it down, or w/e ;p. Any issues with the DNS, could just be your router~ Most people have no problem at all.

Also, some routers have this AOSS technology. All you do is, "wireless > check for AOSS", hit the button on the router. Set, done complete.
