Hey guys, I will be purchasing a PS3 soon, and I've been wondering if my TV will be good enough.

I currently own a iLo plasma HDTV , which is a walmart brand, it outputs 480i/p 720p and 1080i, and has 1 hdmi port.

I was wondering if any experts would know if this type of TV would be fine with the PS3, any problems, comments on it ect. This brand isnt to popular im pretty sure, because ive never heard of it until i bought it. Also i will be purchasing hdmi cables too.

Thanks in advance. Night!

i don't know the brand, but it should do well based on the resolution. 720p will probably look better than 1080i. seems like a lot of games for the ps3 output at 720p.

If you had a 1080p tv, should you set the output to 1080p also? or 720p for games that output 720p?

the point of an HDMI cable is 1080p and since your TV can't support that resolution component will do the same video quality for you.

hdmi cable makes hooking up ur ps3 more easy tho, and i dont think u can upscales ur ps2 or dvds to 720p or 1080i without the hdmi cables. i could be wrong coz i never had component cables.
