Question about PS3 and certain PS3 games...

Its been along time since I was a PS3 player but as my xbox broke Im fedup and going back to ps3, so please help me by answering these questions:

1. Is the online still active for uncharted 2 and killzone 2
2. do people still not use headsets? I remember when I had a PS3.. to find someone with a headset was like looking for elvis!
3. what is the top release for this year (xbox is gears 3)
4. Is psn still free?
5. do you think if I got a preowned 40gb I'd be okay? as I havent got much money.. I guess I could get it with a years guarantee anyway

1. Sorry I don't know I don't play those games
2. More common now although still not as common as on Xbox Live
3. Are you talking exclusives? Probably Uncharted 3 in that case
4. Yes, there is now PS+ which offers free and cheap games plus early access to betas and demos but by no means obligatory
5. with the guarantee I see no problem with that - as long as you don't plan to download toooo much and/or store loads of music/photos on it
