Hey everyone, I'm thinking about buying a new ps3, the old 80gb or 60gb version because I want to have the backwards compatibiliity and also the superaudio cd player. Right now I currently own a 40gb version ps3. I was just wondering if I will be able to back up things that I've bought in the playstation store on an external harddrive then would I be able to load it onto the new ps3? I know that I could do that with my save files, but I don't want to be losing any money when I find out I can't restore my street fighter turbo hd on the new ps3 =/ I already spent around $30-40 buying addons and games.

thanks in advance!

You can just redownload things you've bought off the PS store (as long as you're signed in under the account you bought them with) under the downloads option in the PS store.

wouldn't that also be a big flaw? i mean I can go to my friends house on his ps3, sign on my psn, and download the things I've purchased. But thanks for the reply though! hope it will work

you can share downloads that way.. except you can only do it on up to 5 (including your own) PS3's..
