Hello all,

I am getting a Playstation Portable in a couple of weeks. The main reason I'm getting it is to play the Grand Theft Auto games, as I'm a huge fan of the series. I will be away from my personal computer most of the summer, so I thought getting a PSP will be a good shot.

Anyway, those who have Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories - do the games actually last? I mean, those two may be the only ones I'll get to play during the summer as game prices are ridiculously big over where I live. Does it take a lot to pass the story missions, and are the side missions fun? Do the games control well? (first console since a NES for me, which I last turned on around eight years ago, lol).

in my opinion, if you like the games, theyll last for ages.

the story mode of liberty city stories lasted me quite some time (from what i remember), and its great fun if you like driving about or going on a bit of a violent rampage, the same can be said for vice city stories, there are more side missions in vice city stories whichll keep you going, you can also swim and fly helicopters on vcs.  what more can i say?  if there were any other questions, or something ive missed, post it here or feel free to send me a message.

Think of playing it on PS2, but you can hold it in your hands.

Thanks for the replies, guys! Yeah, being able to fly helis seems awesome. Are the re-appearing environments and camera controls really that messy, though?

I sort of felt like LCS' missions were a bit too simple... Like they were trying too hard to make the game easy to pick up and let go, you know... for a portable system.. I kinda think it backfired a bit though. VCS had better missions, longer and more missions that you had to play a couple or more times in order to accomplish.

Both are still excellent games!

Camera controls, you'll get used to them. Lacking a right analog stick to control the camera can get frustrating, but after a couple of hours of playing you get used to it. You can easily swing the camera to your back anyway.

Also, there's a bit of lag every now and then, but that wasn't enough to make the game bad in any way. The GTA games into the PSP was still a remarkable thing! That really made me get the PSP!!!
