Well I've been looking into getting this game, after seeing nothing but positive reviews and comments on it. But before I dish out 170$ to get it though, just a couple quick questions. Firstly, are guitar hero guitars fully compatible with Rock Band? I have guitar hero, and one of the main reasons I'm purchasing Rock Band is for the four player compatibility, and without the ability to hook up my guitar hero guitar, It's gonna be a big letdown.... Also, hows the songlist compared to Guitar Hero? And last but not least, hows the hardware, because I've heard some hardware faults among the drums and guitars that come with Rock Band.
Hmm, I always thought that it was the other way around, and that the Rock Band guitar wouldn't work on Guitar Hero ... :| Thanks though :D Anyone else got answers :)
As of now Guitar hero peripherals do not work for Rock Band. Really lame cause I own both games. I think the song list is vastly superior to Guitar Hero, mainly due to the fact that about 94% of the songs are licensed tracks(not gay cover artists like many of Guitar Hero 3's songs). I Havent had any problems with the hardware, except for a clicky blue fret button on the guitar controller.Also EA offers a Warranty on all hardware for Rockband, so if you have any problems you can just send it in.
Pretty sure that Guitar Hero doesn't work with the PS3 version. It does work with the PS2 version. A friend of mine has it on the PS2 and says it works perfectly. Guitar Hero does work with the 360 version of RB, but you obviously are looking for PS3 if you're here, right? It's more money to shell out, but I think that extra peripherals are hitting store shelves. I know I've seen the drum kits, but no guitars yet. Haven't really been on the hunt though. The song list is incredible and only gets better every week with DLC. I think they're up to 120 or 130 songs total counting the 58 on the disk. The major issues with RB was with the guitar, but EA swears that all is good right now. They do provide instructions for warranty and replacement issues.

Next Tuesday April 1st. Rock Band guitars will be available. I warn you though this game can and will take over your social life.
