im normally the kind to stay away from "kiddy" games. they are sometimes embarrassing but normally incredible easy. i know some games like crash, can be hard(crash twin sanity was like trying to pull teeth) but rachet and clank seems way to easy to me and iv played the game and things like it before. am i wrong?

I never really found R&C easy in fact quite challenging in some areas but its a hell of a lot of fun. All the crazy weapons and gadgets, the ability to pick it up and be able to play without a proble is why i really liked the game. Not to mention the cutscenes which usually make me laugh.

I even thought Deadlocked was incredibly fun. Not a terribly difficult game, but a very fun series of titles.

in all honesty i don't feel that it's that childish their quite easy to complete if you rush through it but if you take youre time to collect and upgrade all the weapons and get all the skill points then it's well worth it.

Might i also suggest Jak and Daxter that is not childish and really quite challenging if you try to get everything not to mention a good laugh

Ratchet and Clank is the perfect combination of a platform game and a shooter with just enough RPG elements added in for good measure. Quite frankly, it's one of the best sure-fire hit titles to be released every year and is in no way a kiddy game. It's fun and at times difficult if you're into doing everything (beating the game on challenge mode and doing all the arena mini-games) I'm getting this for sure and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great PS3 game.

Nah, saying Ratchet and Clank is only for kids is like saying you have to be 8 to appreciate Super Mario World. It has a light-hearted appearance but is just plain fun to play with all of the action, comical storyline and ridiculous gadgets. Plus, the R&C games on PS2 had some of the best graphics on the system, and the one for PS3 is sure to be one of the most, if not the most technilogically advanced games for the system. This is a major reason why I bought a PS3.

The series isn't known for its difficulty, but it's so much fun you won't mind. If it really bothers you, you can always increase the difficulty for more of a challenge. The real fun of the game lies in the humor, insane weapons, upgrading/customizing of said weapons and replaying to unlock all the bonuses. Though it looks cartoony, there is a LOT more depth than you would expect, thanks to some of the RPG elements and weapon strategies.

You shouldn't pass on a game just because it's "childish." Super Mario Bros. was childish, but many regard it as one of the greatest games of all time. Read any reviews on the games and then make your decision.

i wouldn't classify R&C as kiddy. it has some mature humor in it and the series has also always been rated "T" instead of "E"

btw, although the games aren't DMC level difficult they are incredibly fun and it still has a challenge in it. i loved all the R&C games.

I know that Ratchet and Clank has it's cartoony look and a T rating, but it is far from kiddy at all, the humour is to a mature extent and the weapons are freaking awsome. The platforming is also solid, I'd say R&C2: Going Commando is the best in the series number 3 is good with Online, and 4 is the worst, it's good but it goes way to far from platforming and more shooting than anything, but it does offer online and the story is good too. I'm sure that R&CF: TOD will be the best because they're going back to their original formula, the graphics are amazing, the physics and destruction will be awsome and the story will be great as usual R&C is definately a AAA series so you should get it when it drops this September :D

I stayed away from the ratchet games for PS2 because they were kiddy, but ironically Insomniac made the graphics in Ratchet 5 even more cartoony and it has drawn me into the game. By making the game more cartoony it just has broaden the audience.

if there comes a time when i REALLY need a game, then i think about it, but i cant help but feel you all think its challenging because of things like awkward jumps, and they are not fun, at all.

kiddie games as in "games for little kids", tend to be easy. kiddie games as in "games with a cartoony feel for adults" are very difficult at times. Stop being insucure about the games you play.
you are wrong.

about the humor, the reason i find it embarrassing is it seems childish to ME. i also found the time-splitters humor childish and annoying
