Raiden: Hate him or Love him?

Do you think Raidens a wussy little girl or do u think hes a kickaz$ ninja? Was MGS2 too much for him to be redeamed by MGSIV or did you like him in MGS2 even, share your thoughts.

I liked him.

I mean after all he has a katana and he is lightning.:P

He was cool in MGS2 with his super acrobatic jump :D

And in MGS4 hes a lot cooler

I actually liked him, he's pretty cool.

Even though I haven't played MGS4, I don't like this new cyber suit Raiden I've seen in videos. Maybe it looks better in game..

I thought he looked way cooler, but I haven't played MGS4 yet either. Back to the topic, I've always thought Raiden was pretty cool, but not even close to Snake's level of coolnes.

I HATED him in MGS2, felt so out of place. But in MGS4, he was awesome!

To me he has just as much ground as any other MGS characters. He's not that bad of a sissy in MGS2, there was only the whole fuss to begin with because people can't cope with not being able to play as snake.

I didnt mind him so much in mgs2 once you get past the fact your not playing as snake

havent played mgs4 yet but thats gonna change in a few weeks XD

those seemed like his feet because

hes able to grip the sword with them

but they are shaped as high heels lol

I liked him alot in MGS2 and didn't get why everyone was lashing out at him. Sure, he wasn't Snake, but he was cool in his own way. In MGS4 he was just a freaking badass, I loved him even more then I did in MGS2.

They should release a patch or update where you can play a level with Raiden and his Katana. It can be like a VR mission, but because the world has become so advanced the VR mission is a fully 3D simulation which replicates the middle east area or something. At least, that can be there excuse to reuse a pre-made level. As long as we can play with badass Raiden.

One other thing that would be cool is, from the main menu there should be an option to replay some of the bosses, but with a Raiden twist on them. For example Laughing Octopus can like try to stab Raiden with her tentacles and Raging Raven can try swooping in on Raiden and then you have to jump on her back and stab her or something. It's all wishful thinking but those would be cool downloadable updates.

I think Raiden is a "Wussy Girl," they shouldn't have forced us to play as him which really soured MGS2. Raiden looks like he belongs in a Final Fantasy game, not a MGS type game. And I doubt that Kojima would use Raiden as a main character in any future MGS games just because it's half and half with him when it comes down to people loving and hating him. I like him the first fight between him and vamp was epic.
One of my favourite parts of the game.

It sucks that almost everyone hated Raiden in mgs2. Raiden is my favorite mgs character but mgs4 Raiden sucked. I hated how they made him a superbadass over the top cyborg ninja. Raiden lost all of the personality that made him the original and realistic character he was in mgs2. Now he's just lifeless cyborg with a Raiden face.
