vertical screen takes advantage of of the widescreen ratio of tvs.... horizontal would just result in two slivers.robmonga2

I've seen it reviews and it doesn't look like anything special, just a jumped up sprint-enabled version of vegas1.

Yes, the game is definitely overrated. People seem to rave about the graphics but I just can't understand why. The enemies all look identical and the tactics you must use never seem to differ very much. Online was alright but CoD4 is better.

First off you got a stupid update *for a brand new game!!* and then a even longer wait to install. I am glad I just rented this trash there is no way in hell I would pay $60 for this game. If you don't like slow paced tactical shooters, why on earth would you play a game that is geared for slow paced tactical gamers?

That's what Rainbow Six is. It's not Call of Duty or Unreal Tournament where you just run around shooting (mind you I love UT3). It's a game of cover, tactics, and slower pacing. Saying the game is too slow and tactical for a shooter completely goes against what the game is. You say "it's crap" for being what it is?:|

Sorry, but that just makes no sense what so ever to me. Did you just have no clue what "this crap" was before renting it? If so, and if you're not into slow paced tactical gaming (which you surely aren't, seeing as this is too slow and tactical), why the hell try the game, then, when you discover you don't like it, fault it for being just that?

For most fans of the series, and fans of this styIe of game (myself included) Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is an awesome game. They added enough to the original to make it worth my $60 (sprint, overhead thermal scan, command squad to throw grenades, cleaner graphics, tried and true gameplay, etc), and I absolutely disagree with the statement that "this game is crap".

One final point I would like to make. Call of Duty 4 is heralded as being the the premier online game, and I'll be honest in saying that I don't care for it much. However, I can still admit that it's a great game that's well made and has a high level of polish, even though I don't like it too much. I don't fault the game for being what it is, and I don't say it's crap just because I don't like it. I give CoD4 it's props, despite the fact that I just don't care to play it.

I respect everyone's opinion, but it would seem you're being greatly unfair to Vegas 2, seeing as you're faulting it for being what it is, and spreading your opinion of it being crap for being what it is just isn't right in my book.

Vegas 2 is an excellent game for fans of the series and genre, and most fans of the series and genre would agree. Sorry you didn't like it, or this type of shooter, but that does not make this game crap.;)

It's most likely blurry because you are playing it in 1080i. For some reason, R6V1 looks terrible in 1080i, but just fine in 720p. So, if your TV has the option to display in 720p, uncheck the 1080i box in your XMB and you'll be okay.

And the argument the TC is making is too groundless to even merit a legitimate response. Also, vertical splitscreen is great in most cases, and I prefer it in pretty much any case, but it would be nice to have the option to split either way.

Are you serious? I thought MP would be in horizontal... there must be an option that allows for it to be changed.

Forums are for discussion, and that's what I'm here to do. I enjoy talking with (some) of my fellow gamers, and I try to add to the topic at hand. I had problems with the servers day 1, but after that, not any at all. Except that there are too many douche bag spawn campers, but thats not the game's problem.

No but I did have live and Falo 1 and 2. And my Nephew has 3. Wanna hear a true story. I traded in Falo 2 within 2 weeks on MGS3.

No bull You can look around for yourself, I know your race games I know your shooters. I hated them. I also know everything about Micros past and pres. And that has more to do with it all.

I had R6V1 and it was great. finally a shooter where you must think a little before charging in!!!!

I am glad R6V2 has not changed much, I dont want it to, new maps and guns is enough for me.

I find it funny when people critisize a game for being the same as the last one, when almost all gaming series ARE (halo 3 anyone?)

I think R6V is great, I love setting up an attack on enemys with hostages, then bursing through doors and through glass roofs down on the enemy.

Plus its great when you are doing co-op terrorrist hunt and you are hiding behind cover with 10+ enemys on all sides and you are like "NoW WhaT??!!!?!"

but yeah, dont say a game is crap for being what its supposed to be. Its meant to be slower paced, its good. you might just not like that sort of game, but many do (though I also love faster paced shooters like COD4).

This is not like COD4 where everything is scripted to make the game more atmospheric, its about being careful, and planning. I mean its a game where you are supposed to be a SWAT type soilder. would you expect a REAL SWAT teams to go running into a building full of terrorrists with AK's?
