EGM had an interview with Jack Tretton of Sony. EGM asked simple questions and had more facts on the console than he did, it was like pulling teeth to get a real life answer. And it seemed like he knew very little about his own companies sales and games. The whole summary of the interview was, Just wait and see.... Its all about the future, with Sony trying to outdo everyone else so hard with the consoles features, the release games, I thought turned out to be not even close to what they should have been. Instead of trying to make halo outdated and old news, they need to come out with something original and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing and come up with something so original it will make consumers want to spend 600+ dollars on this console, which is nothing more to me than a blue ray DVD player, Whoopie! I mean even at the end of his interview Tretton had to take a crack at the XBoX 360 because of how noisy it is and there was no need for it. All in all, I don't think PS3 had the same effect on people as the PS2 did on its release date. A Game console is a Game Console, it is made for Gaming, if it plays DVD's and Music better than the games that come out for it, it's Garbage. If you want all that, your better off using the 600 dollars and use it to buy a computer if you want to get the most out of your "Gaming Machine", and forget about even getting a console that you will be disappointed with. So if your trying to decide what to buy as far as consoles or a computer, Play them before you buy them, Don't believe everyones Hype, because if you ask someone who has a specific console, they will swear by it because they own it.
I have all next-gen consoles. I am most excited for my PS3. I am also patient. I don't listen to anyone elses squaking on these topics, wether it's a board poster or a C level person from Sony. Today was huge, as I have been waiting for an F1 game for 4 years. None of the other consoles have one.It's just going to get better week by week from here on out. PS, don't be an early adopter and then gripe about the issues of being an early adopter.
