ToD gets my vote, and i just finished ACiT with collecting every thing. all i need to do now is finish the galaxy side quests...think i only have one or two unfinished, and then get 10,000 points on My Blaster Runs Hot then beat the game on the hardest difficulty. great game, but it felt like it was missing something compared to ToD.

I have almost finished ACIT and it is the better game. I would give it 9.5. The game only loses points because the space mission (not including the small planetoids) get repetitive. There is a huge glitch that can screw you if you run into it. If you are in one of the space boss battles and you both kill each other at the same time, this will cause a glitch in the game where the next time you defeat the boss without being beaten yourself, the cutscene where they blowup will not be triggered. You will have to start the game all over. I tried reinstalling the game and recopying my data over and none of that worked. I also fell through one of the planetoids one time. Other than that, the game is pretty much perfect. There could have been a few more planets but oh well. It's funny how the biggest criticism of the game is the fact that it is the same formula, but when Mario games stick close to the formula, they get a free pass since the Mario icon is legendary. I get the fact that there have been nonstop ratchet games since the series began but still. Everything kind of sticks to the same formula, so I don't see where the criticism of Ratchet comes in.

The clank gameplay was totally different in ACIT and the hoverboots were a delight. I thought the AI coop on some parts of the missions was cool. Captain quark helped you as well as Azumith. The Spacship stuff was cool and made the game more open instead of outer space being a loading screen. Some people complained about the graphics not being great and that it was the same as in TOD. TOD was ahead of it's time when it came out, so I say that ACIT is on par and maybe still slightly ahead of most games in the genre when it comes to graphics.

The mario joke in the game was cool.

How is ACiT a downgrade? I loved them both.

A huge downgrade it is not. ACIT added to the formula. TOD was great but that was technically more of the same. I did like the sixaxis uses for the flying in the one planet and the mini games to unlock the doors. I also liked the parachuting where you had to dodge the missles. I don't know why people hated the sixaxis use. It actually did work in the game.

ACiT was the better game, but in terms of how novel it was at the time, ToD is considerably superior. Loved both games though. Even though the space sections of ACiT were awful. And how is R&C remotely dark?!? It's the least dark game of all time.

I thought ToD was the better game. I was quite disappointed with ACiT. I mean, it was good, but I was expecting better. The side missions, where you fly around planets, were a wasted opportunity. The objectives were far too repetitive. Honestly, if they couldn't have made that feature better, they should've just left it out.

The mini planets were cool. Although the other space missions were repetitive, each one only took like 2 minutes so it doesn't bring the game down a whole lot.

[QUOTE="brickdoctor"]

[QUOTE="Chaos_Bladez"] You should get to that. :P Totally fantastic and underrated.tigertechie

I actually think that 8.5 is a great score for ACiT. 8.5 literally means "great" on Gamespot and it's a great game. Personally, I'd give it a 9.0 but at the same time I can agree 100% on the 8.5. And I know people will disagree with me on this but I think that Gamespot was spot on by giving ToD a 7.5, it was a major disappointment and didn't even compare to the originals.

R&C ToD is my fav game of all time because it brought out my inner gamer and got me started even though ACiT was better. A game can have a good ratings and be underrated because not everyone is playing it.

That last sentence nailed it. It's, for the most part, well rated, just criminally underplayed.
