Looks like it'd be a trick to get your games/movies in and out of the PS3 at that angle.  Yes / No ?

Nah, there is an opening on the shelf big enough to put the discs in. The only problem I have is that the room is too small for this big of a tv. Well, I don't know if there is such a thing as a tv too big...lol

I have a 1000 watt Pioneer surround sound system. Just don't have it hooked up yet.

i like it... its a good setup... better then mine at least... id give it a 7/10... you really might want to put the ps3 in a better spot... i can see that being an inconvenience... but thats just me...

(Don't listen to the 12 year old children crying about consoles)

Nice setup.   The only thing you need to complete the setup would be some sort of surround sound.
(The Aquos is considered a high end LCD brand after all)

+15 for the tv +15 for the ps3 +5 for egm - 10 for no surround - 5 for the increadibles on dvd and not blu ray + 10 for HD Dish Network (Gamer HD FTW) you get a 30!!!! Max score = 60

I love the TV and PS3, but since when did a console and a screen become a "setup". I see no massive supercool subwoofers and 6 foot speakers or DJ turntable with strobe lights and disco balls. it's just a TV and a console, albeit a very nice TV and console. 3/10 as a "setup"

i was giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming that was the hd/dvr combo ( i dont know what that looks like since i only have a VIP222 which is HD without a DVR). Oh well, YOUR SCORE JUST GOT LOWERED BUDDY!!!

liljohn,  now that you have an HDTV its time to upgrade your Dishnetwork receiver.  Call them up and tell them you want the HD Receiver,  the HD Receiver will be free!  What  will cost more is the monthly plan.  But it's worth it,  especially with DishNetwork since they have like 34 channels in HD or so..

You have VIP211, the HD-DVR (VIP611) basically looks like a fat VIP211.

ahhh, thanks for clearing that up. dish network is amazing for hd owners (22 hd channels FTW!!!) However, DirectTV is supposed to have over 100 HD Channels (and normal ones like AMC, Cartoon Network, Lifetime) etc by the end of the year. Im happy with dish at the moment though.

Maybe im wrong then,  i never upgraded.  As a first time member i got it for free.

I'll believe DirecTV when i see it,  they have been hyping over 100 HD channels for over half a year.

yeah, thats right. First time members do get setup free. Its 50$ for an upgrade to VIP211 and even more for the HD/DVR

You cant tell me what "I" define as a "SETUP"..To me the "SETUP" is incomplete with 1 console.

I give it a 7/10.  Looks good but the PS3 does look hard to get to.  I would change that.  Thats just me maybe.

You would have a great tv if it were not for the massive banding issues that plague every one of those sets. You should get in the service call line to get your set replaced free.
