I know for sure my NTSC PS3 will not play anything PAL. I tried playing a PAL dvd and it cam up with an error about region codes. The funny thing is my regular DVD player will play PAL and NTSC DVDs.....its really weird.

PS3 is definetely region coded.

back up for a second, DVDs are regional but blu-ray is not because DVD runs at 560 by 720 but NTSC runs at 480 by 720. ok but when playing blu-ray at HD it will work in any blu-ray player because the both have the same resolution and they were diliberatly build that way.

i remembered about something they say here in the forum, that the ps3 is only region free for games! not BLURAY movies. is it true? and what about the resolution? is it work by resolution now?Moran_B_85

let me tell you somethin. i'm from israel, and i am here in florida (i have the PAL console ofcourse). i bought games for the ps3 here in the USA because i have the console at home. my question is that if the games will work??? i dont care about movies. please help me
