Remember the days of PS1 haha. I remember when I got my ps1 on release day I was so excited and thinking how sick the graphics were and stuff like that. It's just hard to believe were in the generation of HD gaming already, crazy isnt it? Seems just like yesterday we were wondering what a ps2 would be like.

GoldenEyes graphics actually were pretty damn good for it's time, I would even say it could have passed off as a first gen PS2 game.

the PS1 is what really kicked off my gaming hobby/habit/problem. I had no idea about the ps1 at all, didn't know what it was, didn't know when it was going to be released but then a friend of mine got one with wipeout 2097 and tekken 2. I remember being so amazed i just HAD to have one and luckily my birthday had just been so i went out and bought one in about 4 hours of first seeing one. I've never looked back since.

I can't remember how old I was, must have been somewhere around 9 to 11 i guess. The ps1 is a massive nostalgia point for me. I really miss those care-free days of coming home from school and just playing, nothing to worry about, just games.

FFVII introduced me to RPG games, tekken to fighting games, coolboarders to snowboarding games, gran turismo to racing games and doom to fps games. What an excellent console.

Needless to say i got a ps2 on launch day and have been thoroughly enjoying it for many years now. I have my ps3 on pre-order ready for launch day all paid up and i can't wait.

I'm currently at university and am coming to the end of my education, i'm going to miss all this free gaming time. Come on PS3, finish my massive ammounts of free-time gaming with a bang!

I still have my ps1 games and even tho they look like crap i can still play them and have a great time. Looking back at how far game visuals have come i can't wait to see where the future of games will take me.

I remember paying 8bills for a import Dreamcast and buying Virtual Fighter 3 and inviting my VF buddies over. Everyone was drooling over the sick graphics. Poor Dreamcast. Sob And I remember buying my first DVD Pearl Harbour Special Edition and playing it on my brand new PS2 and was like holly shiiit this is sharp. Now I just got Pearl Harbour Special Edition on BluRay and once again I'm thinking holllyyy shiiiit this is sharrrp. 10 years from now I'll be buying Pearl Harbour Special Holographics Ultra Mega High Definition on my PS4 and I'll be like holyyy shiit.... Man Pearl Harbour brings back memories.

So many memories. I remember playing Killer Instinct on my super Nintendo when I lived in Cuba. I also remember staying up nights just trying to become a master with Jago. Now I think back and feel glad to have experience the first games that helped get to where we are now with video game technology.

Ohhhh my..... This brings me back to that little boy in second grade....that no worry kid, play games kid... Resident Evil 2 was amazing graphically and gameplay was revolutionary. Oh and then there was Silent Hill, which i thought was a completely different gaming experience ever Speaking of an experience, there was the greatest game of all time Metal Gear Solid. Oh, and how about the original Tony Hawk game. "It feels like you're actually on the skateboard!!!!!!" Yup, there was crash bandicoot 2.....that polar bear riding level was played at least 100 times on my PS1 Wow....the good old days......

Oh man i remember that mission i think it was in havanna, cuba.I remember when i got to Cuba i was like "I was totally wreckless in Chicago lets see if i can drive safe for a while..." and i remember driving camly and slowly through the streets until i saw a cop, then i would just burnout as soon as i was next to the cop just to outrun them.
Man those were the good times.I still remeber when my step mom bought me the PS1 for christmas of 97' and it had this FFVII demo disk and i thought it was a real game so i played it and always got confused when at the end of the level i got this "coming soon" type of screen.I was seven at the time and i didnt know alot about games. Then there cam a time in august of 98' when my mom bought  Megaman 8 and she got to a point in the game where she had to fight Duo,after she beat the first 4 bosses, and couldnt beat him so she asked my cousin to beat Duo but he couldnt either so i kept asking them to let me try but they both told me no.So then she went to go get some water and my cousin went to the bathroom, i decided to fight him to see if i could beat him and well after 3 gameovers and 2 lives i (an amateur) finally did what my mom(a better gamer) and my cousin(an even better gamer). This is why i love SONY systems.

I'm 30, so I remember my older brother playing Combat on the Atari and BurgerTime on the old Coleco and thinking that was the coolest. Then when I played Mike Tyson's Punch Out and Zelda on the NES, thought it couldn't get any better. I remember the good ol days of playing Street Fighter 2 on the Super Nintendo. I actually sold my comic book collection to get the SNES. My mother said I'd regret doing that one day and alas she's right. N64 was state of the art when I was in college. We played Golden Eye, BattleTanx, and nWo versus WCW, till the wee hours of morning while pounding beers. Then after graduating I thought I was done with gaming. That's until I played GTA III. That game alone caused me to buy a PS2. 30+ PS games later and buying the PS3 was a no-brainer. I love COD3, and have gotten addicted to Fight Night Round 3. Even got into debt buying a new HDTV to get the maximum graphics out of it. I so far love my PS3 :)

I never owned a playstation console before, so I don't really have the same memories. But I do recall waiting for a Nintendo 64 on launch day and getting the last one (how the heck did Target only have two?!) and being so happy. I worked my butt off (must've been 6th grade, I think) to afford that thing and thought it was worth every penny. I still remember believing Nintendo when they said true, free-roaming 3D was not possible unless it was a cartridge based system. Unfortunately, I don't have any great memories since the Dreamcast except for a few Halo lan parties. I had an Xbox and a Gamecube last generation and they just didn't cut it in the end. So while I don't feel at a loss for not having a PS1, I do feel like I missed out by not owning a PS2. I won't make that mistake this generation, and when I get a PS3, I can go back and get those games that I really wanted to play.

Driver 2 was a great game, i agree. I wasnt really into gaming that time yet, my favorite game was Crash Bandicoot and i said to myself that that was the best game and couldnt get any better, as for driver the gameplay and graphics was great, especially the open world, the free roam, thats what got me interested in GTA. I still remember watching my friend playing GTAIII i was so impressed with the graphics and gameplay but i didnt have a ps2, i made some hours of research to see if the game was on pc, i found the game ans started to become a pc gamer but as time went by my pc got old and had to upgrade it to get full game graphics and i founf this pretty anoying so i deciced to return to te old me enjoying console gaming, and i finally bought a ps2 :D, im still saving for the ps3:D

You guys sound like a bunch of old people :)

I do miss being a kid, playing video games back then had some kind of magic to them that seems lost today. Was it the simpler games and seeing them evolve, or am I just getting older. I just hope kids growing up with a PS3 as their first console will have that same magic. But I bet it will never be the same as growing up from the start of the original NES, so I would never wish to have had something like a PS3 back then, things just wouldn't have been the same.
