I already have a copy of Uncharted 3, but I wanted to play through 1 and 2 first (I'm playing the multiplayer right now and enjoying it). Should I just borrow 1 and 2 from my friend (he's a bit busy recently so not sure how long I'd have to wait)? Or would it be worth it to dish out 30 bucks for the Uncharted 1 & 2 Double Pack? If I'm only going to be playing through them once, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to buy them myself.

Depends on how much you want to complete during the campaign. There is collectables along the way in the campaigns which you can use to unlock different outfits and such. (i think) But if you want only the story then just borrow.

The thing is, none of the 3 games are connected story wise. Each game has it's own story, but they also use the same characters, and the relationships that were created/destroyed in earlier games follow on to the next game.

I would say yes. The stories are good and each one has different locations.

you should buy it

U2 has the best campaign ever, the replay value is good. There are collectibles and different outfits and stuff.

The multiplayer isnt too good though

May as well just borrow them tbh. They're fun but when you're done with them, you've still got U3 multiplayer.

Your second playthrough won't be vastly different from your first since both are extremely linear. There's some collectable treasures and unlockable videos as well. They're good enough games to warrent replaying though.

Story wise, yes. But you have to keep in mind the characters relationships are carried on through each game. Drake has had GF's that do show up, ex friends that double crossed him ect. All that has happened in the previous games with the characters personally carry on to the next game. It's just that each game has it's own story which doesnt follow the previous game.

I find them very replayable. The stories are so good that I want to experience them multiple times. Replay value comes from the good story and just being plain fun. Trophies are good too.

I've played through both of those multiple times and will probably do them again on the highest difficulty. So yeah I'd say they have good replay value.

I platinumed 1 and 2 and had a great time playing through them multiple times. The combat is really smooth and fluid, which makes the games a joy to play. And there are tons of different tactics you can employ, so there's always something new to try. And I can't get enough of Nate and Elena either, those two are just awesome.

Both games are an easy platinum, but require and second playthrough to get the platinum. Even so, you can get through both games quickly so you could prob rent and still get all the trophies.

If you are not bothered about the trophies then rent and play through once.
