Resistance 1 Is Horrible

It was a solid FPS for the PS3 launch, I loved the multiplayer ranked matches.

Resistance FoM was great, much better than R2 imo.

The campaign was solid, and multiplayer was great (especially offline split-screen)

Ohh yes, I also played Goldeneye 64 last week, horrible game, I wonder why everyone calls it the BEST FPS. Right? Anyone with me?

Seriously dude, at that time, this was a great game. No MW existed. 40 player lagless online, a long campaign, something lost now, and the best game for the PS3 until what? Uncharted? So yes, the like for this game is not unjustified.

You my friend,are small minded to base a whole game from a demo.at best, a demo often dosent give a final product and just by the amount of replys in this thread shows just how much love there is for this great game.I for one didnt enjoy it instantly but it grew on me and then i ended up playing through it on more than one occasion,Fond memories and a campaign that goes on for double what most games do these days,a true next gen title if i ever saw one..

No way, this game isbrilliant! , a lot better than Resistance 2. Obviously you should stay away from action games

No, I just came across his thread and wondered why it was closed.

i have resistance 2, but i dont like it either. its just not my type of game.

Resistance 1 is a very good game. Unlike most FPS games today, it had good story that lasted good 10-12 hours. The gameplay was great and the variety of weapons were fantastic. You also gain completely new ones once you do New Game play trough.

For a launch title it was polished and still looks good.

Resistance 2 had excellent multiplayer however, for myself personally, everything else was a down step, single player was disappointing in every regard.

most demos dont ever do the game justice!!!!

thats why i kind of want to take back my comment about this game but at least the uncharted 1 demo wasnt horrible. it made me feel like the game could be fun but not a must play. the resistance 1 demo was horrible IMO and did not make me interested one bit.

i feel like a lot of people on this thread are lying or at least not being completely truthful. some of you seem to be saying that with the standards games like MGS4 and Killzone 2 have set, this game would still be a AAA title if played for the first time today. but i strongly feel that even if i played the resistance 1 at launch, i would still feel cheated into buying a PS3.

great launch title but if released today, it would receive no better than a 7.0 - 7.5

Resistance: Fall of Man is a great game,still played by a lot of people.

It was okay. I found Resistance 2 to be much better.

What the hect are you talking about TC? Resistance: Fall of Man was a great game in it's day. And Resistance 2 is even better. However, I was completely blown away when I found out that the first game Insomniac was making for the PS3 was an M-rated, sci-fi first person shooter instead of another tale about an adorable lombax and his robotic buddy with a knack for saving the universe.
