So far I'm thinking:

Legend of Dragoon

LOTS of Arcade games (asteroids, snake, missle command, galaga, space invaders, blah blah blah u get it)

Diablo 1

Starcraft

Warcraft 2

Grand Theft Auto 1 & 2

Ridge Racer

Desert Strike

Doom (any of em)

Duke Nukem

Vigilante 8

Help me out here, I'm sure that some of these would sell really well. We should lobby Sony to release games asked for by gamers, for gamers.

I'm even willing to spearhead this endeavor.

I'm VERY much with you on these two points... but BTW you do know about "Atari Arcade Remix" available on PSP which has original and re-mix versions of "Asteroids", "Missle Comand", "Battlezone" and other Atari quarter-kings of yore, are you not? I don't own it but I've been meaning to pick it up at re-sale. And unfortunately since I think iD Software is sort of in bed with a few different competing companies I don't see a "DOOM" compilation coming to Sony very quickly or easily. I think they would even have to re-negotiate a deal for puting the PSOne disc on PSN and since the last port i can remember is that semi-inferior version on the "DOOM 3" disc for XB, I would imagine Microsofty has the first dibs on that dance...

:(

And also, I HIGHLY praise and push you to get "Space Invaders Extreme"... I play it a LOT. Very fun, nice mods to the original, and this is coming from a guy who used to play the game when it was a stand-up machine and new to the world!!!

Ports of "DOOM" for GBA is one of the reasons I keep my DS with the cart slot still. If I could get "DOOM" as a portable for my PSP, I'd sell the thing. I never play it anymore since I started getting into my PSP so much... and PSN PSOne games are part of the reason it got edged out recently.

Ha ha... Sony is banking off my nostalgia trip... but they're great games, y'know?

I would LOVE to see more old arcade titles from the 80s and 90s on the PSP...

"TIME PILOT"!!!

I really want Tenchu: Stealth Assassins and Tenchu 2: Rebirth of the Stealth Assassins. They were the best stealth action ninja games on PSone.

See this is what we need, sony can make BUCKETS of money, nostalgia will sell SOOOOO many games, they cud stop releasing new games for a year, just make old games available on handheld for the first time, and STILL turn a healthy profit.

@ SONY CORP: LISTEN TO THE GAMERS! THEY WANT RETRO GAMES! BRING IT HOME!..

OOOOO i just thot of another sick idea... speaking of home. where are the arcade games in home, they need waaaay more. if u put a couple sega rally games next to each other in the plaza??? ooooooo soooo much fun to be had there. stack up a couple free tetris games, pacman, w/e u want, infact, screw it, add another whole area to home. thats right, build us an arcade... im tired of bowling and fighting to get on a pool table...

Picked up the "Atari Classics Evolved" as I threatened to do... it has the following:

Featuring original and updated versions of "Asteroids", "Asteroids Deluxe", "Battlezone", "Centipede", "Lunar Lander", "Millipede", "Missle Command", "Pong", "Super Break-Out", "Tempest", and"Warlords".

Then, I had not noticed this before when I looked at the box, but it says "Over 50 Unlockable Atari 2600 Games".

Ooooohhhhh SNAP!!! All of that, for $5 on UMD. I don't care how many miserable 2600 games there are, there's gonna be one or two I bet I remember and love!!!SCORE!

As a side note now that i've played it a bit:

The 2600 games are unlocked by scoring various achievements in the "Evolved" versions of the arcade games, which I can do... however there are a few games which have been programmed so that you have to hold the PSP on-end with the analog nub as the bottom, which makes some games like "Tempest" a bit squirrelly to play and get used to... minor points off for an otherwise astounding set of games on one disc!

Wolfenstein 3d -- pioneers of the 1st person shooter genre that does not require a 2nd thumbstick (loved it as a kid and finished final boss with cheats)

Doom 1,2

Hexen

Decent

Duke Nukem

Quake1 Quake2

Red Zone (really hard game, flying a helicopter, i did finish it back in the day)

Turok

and my favorite a million years ago, the first flying that captured my love for flight games- Terminal Velocity. (Fury3 uses the same engine if anyone played it)

played all these games and would love to see these revived from the dead, redone and ported to PSP. if it worked back in 1994-1996, I am sure psp is more than capable of handling it.

Oh yes... Parasite Eve would be my first choice actually. It's a real travesty that it's not up yet.

Quake games on PSN, plz??????? I WANT. People are praising them so much, I wanna try them out. The only problem would be the lack of dual analogs... that sucks. I'll just have to wait...

Theres soooo many games sony could make money off, if only they would launch as classics on PSN.

I have confidence they'll recognize this opportunity and capitalize!

OK... I'm officially hooked like a junkie on "Atari Classics Evolved"... I defy anyone to play "Lunar Lander" and not call it one of the greatest games to ever be programmed!!!

You should also give a try to Namce Museum and Capcom Classic Remakes they are awesome! Playing classic PacMan in real 3D perspective was fun!

I'll have to pass on the PC games...as much as I love some Starcraft/Warcraft/Diablo, they just wouldn't translate well to a PSP.
