Ridge Racer 7 or Resistance?

ok, so I've been a pc user pretty much all my life until I recently got my ps3. I got resistence as one of my first games, but I didn't have the net at the time. And being a pc user all this time, resistence didn't seem so good...I loved Half life 2 and after playing resistence, didn't really seem find anything specialabout it (pretty much just run and gun,from where I played till there was no interaction with any npc's,only some cutscenes)so I returned it

so my question is, I'm getting my net back in a few days, and I have seen alot of threads about resistence being a great multiplayer game, but I also heard a lot of good things about ridge racer 7 online aswell...I know the 2 games I'm asking is totally different genre's, but I enjoy both racing and shooters.

I've had trouble with both games, resistence: I didn't like single player..but then I only played up to the second stage. And for ridge racer I played it on my friend's psp, and the handling...is abit...easy? just sliding the whole time rite?

anyway, jus wandering what you guys think. btw, I do have armored core 4, and I can't wait to try that online, but just wanted another online game to have some fun with.

I heard resistence online is better than gears of war online right? I my friend has gow, and the single player is pretty good, but multiplayer is really really boring...for me..

4v4 with pretty much 2 weapons 90% of the time unless you manage to sprint and grab a sniper or some grenades.

machine gun and shotgun just got so so boring

hm...ranting again...but yeh...resistence is better than that right?
