I don't know if it's true or not but why would anyone paint a light color like silver over black instead of white? Especially when they have white PSPs. That portends bogusness or idiocy.
I've heard the same rumor from a couple of places.
Honestly I would think it would be a silver colored plastic faceplate, not a painted on.
As a model painter the silver on black theory works a bit for me. I do it in models when i want the silver, red, etc to come out with a darker appearance without having to mix the paint. But for something titled Ice silver it would make more since to basecoat in white then do silver for a nice "shiny" bright appearance
I have that psp system for almost 2 months now and nothing has ' chipped ' off. I don't think its paint at all..WSGRandomPersoni had it for 2month 2 ans done see any chipping and little to no smugges either. btw it's not silver paint the plastic is colored silver
I'm in the market to get a slim. I prefer not to shell out 200$ for something that is inferior in workmanship than the original black Unit. Although it seems to be a rumor, I'm leaning more towards the core pack.
i agree with you motherboop. if youre gonna spend 200 on something you damn well want it to work.
i have the silver and it is silver plastic with a smooth clear coating over it. no worry about anything chipping off of it and smudges/scratches will be very hard to see if they do happen.
This is true i have a silver PSP (real) and the silver paint chipped of (some) and it get me angry cuz i shoulda just bought the black one.
