Right i have a Samsung 58 inch plasma and iv never played a PS3 game on it but i was just wondering as i have never played on a hd tv...... without a hdmi cable is my 58 inch just like a normal tv when playing PS3

Yes. Although a HDMI-DVI cable would also work for HD.

Yes. As the only other way to play is by using the yellow video component cable.

as i have an LCD and never owned a plasma, i would still imagine you can use component or am i wrong? if you can use component or HDMI its a pretty close comparison of course HDMI being the best but if you are not using HDMI or COmponent than yes its like your tv is just a normal SDTV but probably a bit better color and brighter just not as detailed

I play on a 1080P Plasma Panasonic Viera ( "50) with HDMI and it is awesome use component or HDMI
