SCEA: GOW 3 has 4 times the texture resolution of God of War 2

I noticed a lot of people complain about how the game looks, it seems people think the game will be out in the upcoming months which is not posssible imo. The developers still have time and I expect the game to be out in 2010.

I think it looks awesome. When you watch it on youtube with improved quality, it looks great.


I still have to play the first two, (hope I get them for christmas) but I'm still looking forward to GoWIII since everybody talks good about the first two.Gedo93

Sony can talk about all the developement tech crap all they want but the gameplay is the same from God of War 1 and 2. so unless they change that then the game is nothing new at all . I was unimpressed with the trailer

Bad graphics? GOW I, II on high res on PS2 has better graphics than 75% of PS3 games now. I know it'll be the best game ever made by far. For anyone thinks the gameplay is button masher put it on Titan and find yourself on YouTube looking at 100's of strategy vids of how to block, counter, hit w/ what weapon etc.. while dying a billion times.

I remember playing Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden and DMC because they were supposed to be "similiar" and wow they completely sucked compared to GOW I, II in every aspect. If you got GOW II w/ the two BTS DVD's it shows you how they squeezed out absolute most they could out of the PS2. It was an awesome two disc DVD with hours of footage on the making. Truly epic game made to perfection. The trailer may not be the coolest but I have no doubt the game will come through 200%.

But yes, even if the trailer looked like crap (Maybe it was the lack of decent lightning?), I am pretty sure by the time it is out, it will be looking gorgeous and above all playing gorgeous.

In HD it looks WAYYY better, but I'm sure it's an early build this is what I don't like about people these days. "OMG The game looks like crap" Now there's nothing wrong with this statement if we were even CLOSE to the relase of the game. But we don't know ANYTHING about the trailer. It could be an early build from a whiles back and it was only 10 seconds so chill.

EDIT: Oh yeah and everyone seems to have played this right? Because we just saw a 10 second teaser but everyone knows that it's going to be the EXACT same as GoW I and II.:roll:

Don't forget fellas, these GOW devs are the same ones that helped Guerilla Games build their engine for the graphics-and-cpu-intensive Killzone 2. Brainhunter
