I just got started on multiplayer gaming on my PS3 Slim and being a PC gamer i am a total n00b at the PS3. I recently started playing Uncharted 2 multiplayer and i keep getting pwned on it. I was looking for some advice on how to improve my shooting skills onthe PS3. 99% of the time i cant evenkeep my crosshair over the other person and when they are moving its near impossible for me to keep them in my view.

I know experience is the best way but are there any other waysfor me to speed up the process :)

Go back to PC noob. I'm joking of course try to adjust the sensitivity and naturally over time you'll improve.

Play the first Uncharted game and practice there while you enjoy the story mode and eventually you'll get the hang of it.

PRACTICE PRACTICE is the best thing you can do. If you want to get good a little faster then a single player shooter game can help a lot when learning to use the controller. Or you could try to lead the shot on someone moveing across an area your covering. Also some games that use sniper rifles to get a long shot you have to get the cross hairs on target and wait until they stop moveing unless you can time the movements to get a solid shot off.

Regarding sensitvity, do i have to change the sensitivity of the controller in the game or on the console?

In the game, some people like it all the way up or all the way down.

Yes, Uncharted isn't an easy game to aim in anyway, so don't expect to be very good if you've never played the first game yet (or the second when it's out).

Acutally i found the aiming on Uncharted 2 multiplayer easier than MGO. It was near impossible for me to kill ANYONE on MGO.

If it's anything like the old Socom games that the slightest movement you get the head boob and if sniping you had to time the shots to get a solid shot off. Those games were great for getting a lot of head shots in single player mode as long as a person was patient.

Yeah, it's not too bad, it's just a little tricky when you're first starting out. (I died a lot in the first demo)

lol @ this comment here.

Anyone can click a mouse on a spot?

Go play some competitive gaming on the computer and come back and tell me that ... lol

Use to play CS from 1.3-1.6 in CAL and I can assure you that not anyone can click a mouse on a spot. Your comment holds no water.

What helps me in shooters is to put the sensitivity to maximum, but it probably doesn't work the same way for other people.

The main thing would be to take it easy on the sticks and dont yank them. Also, especially for Uncharted 2, make sure to tap the trigger while shooting.

This and if your not any good at the game always try to sneak up on your opponent from behind. Flank them always.

try keeping your thumb on the R stick instead of hitting it in different directions, remember, the aiming in a third person on a console is better traded like a camera, just like in games like ninja gaiden. That's a personal opinion and way of playing. oh and a good thing is to play a private match with a friend and having him onstantlly move while you're trying to kill him. Helps your reflex.
