OK so the developers and such say their going for a more realistic playing enviroment with more realistic gravity effects and good graphics and such. I got a nice litle tip for making a game more realistic. How about either removing or attaching some serious strings to LMGs. I am so sick of these nearly infinite ammoed death machines.

1 Very few human beings in the world can shoot an LMG whil holding without the bipod or tripod deployed because they are too heavy

2 Those that can, cant accuracy for crap because they kick like a mofo

Yet for some they make so in video games that people can do this, with more accuracy that even mounting with allow for, and their holding itup like its and assault rifle! My solution is either complete removal or complete overhaul. Either require that the bipod is deployed and the gun is braced on a wall or the ground, or just stop including them altogether because they are almost always unbalanced. Jebus Crust developers

If you want that to happen you go play Day of Defeat Source. That might help rather than ranting about LMGs being unrealistic because game developers are not going to listen to you anyway.

I'm with you, I don't like LMGs in shooter. Too big, not accurate, not the least realistic.

I dont get what's so unbalanced about them. Normal assualt rifles are almost always the best guns, except for the smaller mags. LMGs are mainly good for cover, or close range spraying.

Video games =/= reality. I don't like a lot of things in shooters that we're all just gonna have to live with, for example, most shooters I've played melee beats bullets. lol. I never use LMG's in games I think they're for spraying and not having to reload, but usually always inaccurate. I'll stick with my AR's.

Lets talk about other "fake realism"

I can sprint 14miles than line up a perfect 2mile sniper shot

That 2mile sniper shot

Getting shot than handed a medkit, ready to go in 10sec, instead of 6months in the hospital

Pulling out unlimited boxes of ammo from your a$$

Whipping out an electric impact wrench to repair a tank with massive structural damage.

O yeah and RESPAWN.

I play games for fun, want more realism? Theres a Marine recruit center in your town.

Don't forget being able to carry a RPG, 5 rockets, a SMG, and a rifle and still be able to sprint up a hill.

Well, I don't blame you for games that want to lean towards "realism". I would say the same thing. Not because I get killed by them, but just for the experience alone. Machine gunners should move slower and fire with a bipod. BUT, then you'll have a lot of people laying around and waiting for someone to walk down a path and just let her rip. But it would be great for team work such as guarding a bomb or if there's a duck and cover system and you have someone laying down suppressive fire while you flank (providing there are no respawns).

But in an arcade like shooter, you have guys running around with RPGs and 50 shells. Which would also be pretty impossible. Especially jumping around and running while shooting. Even shooting out a window from a closed in room. None of those you can do in real life either. Also, people would be dead with half a clip of a SMG, never mind a full one plus reload.

Point being, if you know what type of game it is, you can't really complain.
