Should Final Fantasy 7 be remade for PS3?

its a fun game but its not THAT fun now that it was rereleased, i think thwy can look towards nw horizions and give us a new game rather a old one thats polished

alot of people here saying to leave it the way it is cause its good...have you played the psn re-release trust me it was better in '97...FF7 is the profit machine for square...they should be updating it ever few generations. I liked square for the mana series other people maybe perfer ffVI others like lesser known rpg's...any true rpg fan can tell you the ff7 isnt the BEST rpg around...but its the difinitive rpg that made role playing as big as it is today. FF7 is to rpg's like Michael Jackson is to pop culture sure we had elvis before him and he was great....but mj touched 4 generations....of kidsnynthninja

Final Fantasy VII was good for its day, but it is my opinion that it should just be left as-is. I would much prefer that time and effort go into an all-new Final Fantasy quest instead of getting a do-over of a game I finished 12 years ago. A good story always holds up well, but a good game is best remembered as it was at the height of its success.

As much as I would love it to be remade, sadly this won't happen.

People are still talking about making a remake for this game and its been out for 10 years. I would rather they just make a new chrono trigger or something.

As for all the whiners complaining about this thread and people wanting a remake: almost every thread on GS is old before it's even created. If you don't like it, then don't read it or waste time posting... and yeah, a lot of people talk about getting a remake of 7, but it's not complaining. (at least not in my case) It'd just be cool. A remake of 6 would also be greatly appreciated.

To counter that, what would be the point of spamming this place with FF7 Remake threads when you'd be better off spamming Square with that crap? Where does whining and pleading about it here, get you? Not to mention, it's been done to death. Heaven forbid someone use brain power to actually make a thread people want to read. Sure, you can make that "don't like it, don't click it" arguement. But I feel people have the right to complain if this is all they see on here as they have the right to be annoyed after three years of this. You would be annoyed as well if someone kept asking the same question that has been answered a million times, even by the company itself. Especially when it's just a popular catch phrase in the RPG world all because it was the only Final Fantasy to go "mainstream". They used that fact as a base for a tech demo to get people's attention. To buy PS3s. Nothing more.

Not only would I rather they made new games, I want them to release the games that are currently in a long devlopement train.

Agito, PE3, Versus, FFXIV.

For God sake NO! Just leave it alone, it's a classic, and with Squarenix's recent track record they would probably mess up a remake somehow.
