So, I've had various Xbox's for about 10 years having previously had a PS2 but recently I've considered getting a PS4 and was just wondering if it would be worth it alongside my Xbox One or should i just stick with that?

I have and love both. Ps4 is great and there are tons of exclusive games that will make it worth your while.
I have both, and there's great exclusives on the PS4. If I didn't have one now though, I'd wait for ps5. Sony's priorities will change in less than 2 years.
If you enjoy Sony exclusives you can't go wrong. Uncharted collection and 4, god of war, horizon zero dawn. If you enjoy the souls games then Bloodborne.
The pro is the way to go if you can get a good deal.
I will say NO. Since you are not able to make your own decision on to buy PlayStation 4. If you have the money, If you really want to play the latest games in Uncharted, God of War, Second Son, etc. Series of games. Or a game like Horizon zero Dawn or even "throwaway games" like Knack and Knack 2. Sony Only games not found on Xbox or Nintendo.
The DualShock 4 is a decent controller. But Xbox one controller is better. Sony's on-line is Good, But Xbox is better.
Any people in your life the could lend you PS4 and Some games to try before you buy? Since there are no more rental stores anymore. Blockbuster used to rent consoles and games.
So the answer is No, Since it is 2018. and Sony has hinted at end of PS4 lifespan. Save your money and start fresh with PS5 in 2020/1/2.
Gaming is an expensive hobby. So the answer is No. (hopefully this inspires you to rebel)
