I switched from wired to wireless because I didn't want wires running over the floor. While playing online, I can't tell any difference, but when I download stuff, it seems to take longer than the wired connection. Also my PS3 is the only thing using the wireless.

ya, i have a wireless connection and my ps3 connection status is usually 90% + and it works just fine but still, a wired connection is more reliable

Wired connection - Full Duplex

Wireless Connection - Half Duplex

Google it, learn something and stay wired.

Wired is always much better than wireless. I really don't have much of a choice other than wireless. After playing around with location and software with my network I finally got a solid 100% wireless connection (it took months of trial and error).

I use to have a wired connection but seeing the cord run through rooms is annoying. I changed to wireless and everything is still perfect. Only difference for me is sometimes the downloading speed is slow,...but then sometimes its super fast. There was also no difference in online play.

Wired I'm sure it is the way to go but it isn't always an option when you have your T.V. in a different room than your modem. I'm not going to drill a hole in my wall to do the wired connection and I don't want my Internet phone , and modem with wires in my living room. So sometimes wireless is your only option. Does anyone know of good relatively cheap wireless router. I'm thinking of going with the Linksys WRT54G2 as my D-Link Dir-615 n-draft routercompletely died out(no lights). From reading around the I won't really gain anything with an n router over a g anyhow since a ps3 is only g capable. I was thinking with the n router that since I live in a condo the extra frequency would help out with dropping due to lots of people using the same 2.4 one but I'm not too sure about that.
