cod4: has a great single player campaign, it was short...about 6 to 8 hours, but it was a wonderful experience....and the multiplayer is awesome, its very well done and just so addicting

ac: i liked the open world and you just felt like a bad a$$ while playing as altair, but it does get repetitive and the combat gets very easy after you learn to counter....

i say you rent assassins creed because it is repetitive and there really is no reason to go back to the game once your done......and i would buy cod4 because it is a very good game....

What he said... Assassin's Creed is fun, but has no real replay value, and you can beat it in two days easily (only one if your dedicated). Call of Duty 4 is an awesome game, especially the multi-player both in offline and online (online is tottally amazing!!!). The Online Multi-Player should keep you busy for a month or so.

actually i felt that the single player was a little longer then 6-8 hours. and the multiplayer is ok but i would rather ply warhawk.

Get Call of Duty 4 only if you can play online...lol. Assassin's Creed i good, just very repetitive after small doses, and combat can be easy with the counter.Of course you can play without countering at all, but that's entirely up to you.

You don't get to counter in AC until after a while, and if you try to play the game from the beginning after beating it, you lose all of your stats, weapons, and abilities (including the counter) and you'll have to learn them all over again. The only thing you keep is a couple extra bars of health. But yeah, only get COD4 if you have online capability, or if you have friends that come over and like to play games.

COD4 is a must have for any PS3 owner. Awesome online. AC has no replay value, and is slightly repetitive.

I would say neither(rent both imo) but if you only want those get COD4 GOTY edition... since COD4 campaign is pretty short(i think it took me like 5 hours to beat), you'll probably only play it for MP which the GOTY edition has the map pack included($10 value) and its the same price as regular edition.

Buy COD4... rent AC and if you like it, wait for a price drop because it isn't worth $60 bucks. You could probably get everything you need out of that game with a week-long rental.

Slightly? To me it was 100% repetitive after the first assassination.

I love both games, I'd recommend buying both if you can. If you can't then buy Call of Duty 4, solely because it has an online multiplayer part.

AC is a good game but kinda confusing if u don't pay attention at points but Cod4 is great because if u die in single player it goes to last check point not that far back from where u died and the multiplayer for cod4 is awesome so i say get cod4

beat assassins creed in 2 days?? yea maybe if you play it for 8 hours a day. i personally thought it was an amazing game but it all depends on what youre into. graphics are amazing as well as the artificial inteligence. the whole concept of assassinating people is cool and the story is amazing. its going to be a trilogy. but again it depends on whether youre into that or not. cod 4 is a very very good FPS. i didnt really play the single player campaign but the online i never got bored of. the ranking system is great as well as the guns and graphics. either one is a great buy
