So should I get Monster Hunter Freedom Gamespot rates it bad... but, the gamers say good about it so should I get it? It looks good and has good graphics. And If I do get it which do you reccomend the First One or The second one?

I've been asking myself that very question alot for the last few weeks. The scores for them are really bad, but gamers give rave reviews. I think the gamespot reviewer doesn't care for that type of game. It looks ok. But I think the whole premis of the entire game is based around Grinding, which isn't that fun unless to get to a new interesting story element, which supposedly Monster Hunter has little of. I'm trying to hold out for GOW and FF7CC.

I have it and what I always say is: If you have somebody else to play it with, it's a good buy. If not, I would pass. It has a lot of grinding, with no story, and no leveling up. You actually wind up grindingand playing solely for equipment and cash to get better equipment. It started out fun, but after a while the only motivation is getting stronger equipment which, unless you're a big Monster Hunter fan, gets old very quick. I'd say it's the type of game where either you hate it or you love it. plus there's the frequent times where fighting a large monster only takes about 8 minutes and other times it takes 30+ minutes (NO JOKING) and you have to chase it to another area everytime you start really hurting it. Again if you don't have someone to play it with, it will probably get old fairly quickly. Oh yeah, my typing is gonna look horrible because my computer is acting up whenever I post things.

I played it solo for 190 hours. Was it good?... What do you think? 190 hours!

I stopped playing it because I got like 4 new games and wanted to try them out. I finished silent hill, manhunt 2, and currently im playing FF tactics, after that Ill finish castlevania... and after that Ill return to play MHF2. I still have like 6 8* guild quests left to go. And I still havent killled fatalis!

You should just get MHF2, instead of the first one.

watched a vid earlier today, looked great! Critics arent always the ones to point out a good game, you'll sometimes have to choose for yourself or come by gamespot and ask us. I'd get it.
