 SHE GET'S THAT AND SHE'S ONLY 13?!?!?!Vyse_Legends

I would do the same thing if and when I have a daughter. If I had a son, sorry, he's going to have to work for it. Men, like myself = pieces of crap LAWL. Daughters = need protection and spoilage to keep them away from douchbags like all of you and me!

Erm why don't you just try asking her what she would like before you start going out and buying an expensive games console that she might not even like or want?

I wish I was your daughter.

Purchase her some PSN games. Super Rub-A-Dub is my girlfriend's favorite on the PSN.

A 1080p TV is the way to go to enjoy the max of what this generation of consoles are capable of (yes, even the Wii to a lesser extent). Though I myself have had a lot of troubles with Sony brand TV's, and thus makes me suggest to look at another brand. Whatever you do, do not rush into buying a high-def TV. You need to both look at what inputs the thing is capable of, and ideally to find out how you may be able to calibrate it (for the best color accuracy/brightness/etc.). Almost every display (monitors too) is uncalibrated out of the box. Even if it seems like "spoiling the surprise", taking 30 minutes to an hour to calibrate the set properly will be time well spent to get the most out of any set you buy.

Plenty of comics available that you can load to the pictures section along with magazines.

Guitar hero, singstar, ratchet and clank, motorstorm, folklore,

My kids love watching imax movies on their ps3 units besides playing games, reading comics and listening to music .

I thinks he's pulling the ol' get it for my daughter, and when she get's bored i'll take over routine.

I'm not aware of many "girly" PS3 games. You can go for Ratchet and Clank I guess.

If I ever become a father, I wanna be just like you! ^_^ Well, I think she'll love R&C due to it's humour mixed with colourful graphics. Good idea with Heavenly Sword due to the female protagonist, but I think you'll enjoy playing it too. Skip GH3 and go for Rock Band. Instead of just guitar, there's singing and drumming too, so there'll probably be something in that game she would love for sure.
