should i play resistance 1 before i play resistance 2?

Anyway TC: I'd say yes RFoM is actually my fav PS3 game so far, and while the story is nothing out of this world is fun enough IMO.

I really liked Resistance 1 a lot. Beat it 7 times through. The pacing in that game is incredible, it reminds me a lot of Half Life when playing through it. Also, it has the best snow and glass breaking effects in any video game.yungboi

It's good to know that there is a gamer out there who notices subtle details in games as much as myself. It brings a tear to my eye...haha, just kidding, but R1 really did have the best glass shattering of any game, next would be HL2. The snow was really beautiful, but I think MGS4 beat it with the whiteout blizzard, but MGS4 came out two years later, so R1 did have the best snow at the time.

I'd say yes because the first game is really good, and there are some really memorable moments. :) It's also only $20 at Circuit City this week, and you can get a $10 dollar Circuit City card if you buy Resistance 2 there also :)

Agreed on the snow effects! They look amazing even by today's standards, best snow I've seen in a game.

Hahahaha, seriously. I was going to comment on this...but I didn't take the time. I don't really know what is so confusing...OH! Maybe the confusion comes from the fact that projectiles in the game could continue flight at such slow speeds...no, that really isn't plot...maybe it had something to do with Hale never getting his helmet back...Oh, I am so lost...I need to play it again so I can really understand who these Chimera are, and why their country hates living underground so much...Is that right?

Yeah like the others have said, when you start Resistance 2 it sums it up quickly. You don't need to play Resistance: Fall of Man whatsoever unless you really feel the need to, but basically this is what happens:

*SPOILER -Ending of Resistance: Fall of Man*

The Chimera attack and take over Russia, then move onto Europe. The US deploy thousands of troops, only one survives, which is Nathan Hale (The lead character). He goes through and destroys a huge tower in England which creates a chain reaction destroying all the supplies (etc) for the Chimera all throughout England.

If that was a bit too hard to understand then here's it again:

• Chimera attack England
• US deploys something around 12,000 troops
• One man survives
• Nathan Hale destroys the Chimera in England
• THE END
