Ok, Final Fantasy VII is a great game! But it's not very easy to get your hands on one, you know? I would be satisfied if they allowed you to download some of those PS1 and PS2 games onto the PS3 (or PS4 when the time comes), but should they remake the game and make it modern with voices and graphics? Unfortunatly, if they did, I would worry they would lose some of the game along the way if you know what I mean.
again..i highly doubt tht they will start their project this year..as they are still focusing on the FF XIII...plus..if they remake everything with even the same storyline..what are playing for...? to me i would demand a new storyline of course along the same casting as the old FF VII..this sort of planning needs time
Well the reason I am asking for one is because I never owned the game. I had a friend who had it and I loved it, but I could never really play it. And now with more and more people playing games (and new games at that), I think making a new FFVII would send people of all ages back to that fantasy. For those that have played it, its a chance to get to play it again with awsome graphics and sound. For those that haven't, it can create even more fans and give those the opportunity to play what some consider the best game of all time. Once I played Crisis Core, it really got me interested in the FFVII world again and seeing as how I can't really get the old FFVII with the snap of my fingures, I thought it would be pretty cool if they would recreate it and give people like me to experience the game. I would buy it.
As downloadable content, I wouldn't mind it coming to PS3 as a port of the PS1 game. As a revamp with new graphics, that would be a risky business due to the sheer amount of time and money it would take to update it. Then you would have a surge of nostalgia buyers who a large percentage of would play througha few times and never play again. Doing remakes, in my opinion, do not really garner the income of a new good game. I can't cite anything that backs up my opinion though.
i get you..but knowing sony, they'd rather just put it on the PSnetwork and have you download it instead of remaking the game. to be honest it would be better if you played the original instead of waiting for a remake...its a good game and it doesn't need an update. the final fantasy series desperately needs one though oh..and i really dont think FF7 needs any more fans..seriously
It would be awesome if it were remade, since i never finished it all those years ago and no longer own a copy. And for everyone who never got a chance to play it in the first place. Not to mention the fact that buying a remade ps3 version would be cheaper than buying a used original off ebay!
But like everyone says it's more than likely never going to happen, even if it would make heaps of cash.
Square simply don't have talented individuals to get it done. Also knowing how Square works these days, they will probably just give it to Nomura to be in charge of it, and everything he touches turns into ****.

that idea stinks... that game stinks and really hope they dont make a re- of FFVII cuz it s$%&/(
